Wow what a party! But we didn't expect any less :) So the big day started about 11 in the morning. You could tell that both Matt & Zoe were very nervous but once they were together the smiled were out it all was beautiful with tears and all. After the ceremony we adjourned to the garden for drinks and appetizers. It turned out to be a beautiful afternoon and was absolutely perfect for hat wearing. There were a number of ladies in hats and it was just oh so much fun!! I think that hat wearing should be a part of every wedding.
After spending time in the garden (and being left out in the garden by mistake since Sven, Sarah, Darrren and I were off wondering around) we began the wedding breakfast. At least that's what it was called but it was more like a feast that last about 3 hours. The food was lovely and the table games were a blast ... even if our table did horribly. The toasts were wonderful and much more entertaining then I think any I have ever heard. Maybe it's just the way that Zoe was heckling!!
After the meal and bar was open and the festivities began. With some very funny entertainment from Matt's parents and friends as well as things like the shoes pictures the time just seemed to fly (hum, maybe that was the drinks). The dancing began with a beautiful dance done by the new couple. Everyone was very very impressed. Sven and I then enjoyed many twirls around the dance floor. Then it was more food with the evening buffet ... some lovely curry. Then more dancing and laughing.
We left with our hosts for the weekend (Steve and Leanne) around 11;15 or so. The wedding got the award for the longest with the most food for sure!! It was just all wonderful. The only down side it that the morning after Leanne woke up to a hurt arm and had to go to the hospital where she found had she had actually fractured it. Oh no! The rest of the weekend was a delight as well. We spent Sat relaxing. We saw Matt & Zoe and wished them happy travels to Africa. We then went walking in the very pretty English countryside and had a nice curry dinner. On Sun we had a nice late start then went to Sarah to have a nice lunch and chat. We headed off and were back in Sweden before we knew it.
Thanks Matt & Zoe for the wonderful time!
