I'm a real Swede now
I did it yesterday, I rode my bike in the snow!! It was a bit warmer yesterday, about 2c (35f) and sunny out so I decided to ride my bike to school instead of taking the tram. I didn't really think about the fact that it had snowed the day before. So the paths were a bit cleanered but not totally and in some places not really at all. So for the first time in my life I had the joy of slipping and sliding on a bike. It was actually really hard work! I think all the Swedes must have really good balance to be able to do that. The worst part is all the slush. When you get into that, your back wheel is going one way, and your front the other. It's also a bit hard to get up hills at some points. I know understand why Ingvor has studs on her tires, she would never be able to get up that big hill to their house without them.
So the best part of it all, is as I was sitting in my Swedish class I looked outside and saw to my horror that the sun was gone and it was snowing again! Oh no! Good thing I had my ski jacket and new warm fleece. So I conqured the snowing road and the falling snow on the way home. But don't think I was alone .... I was out there with all the rest of the crazy Swedes!!!!

Here's a picture a took a month ago or so, of Sven coming home from work on his bike. He still rides everyday when he is here in Göteborg. This morning it was -6c (21f) and that isn't even the worst of the cold.
