so many things in gothenburg
Yesterday we explored the Göteborg boat, I left a message for dad at work, it was a lot of fun. I’ll send pictures whenever I get near a high speed connection. This weekend we are staying here in Göteborg at Måns and Annika’s house. It’s supposed to be in the 70s today with no rain so we are going to take a picnic lunch down to the ocean and sit and read our books and go for a swim. Tomorrow we plan on going sailing for the day with Anders and Jenny. FUN!
In other news. Sven was working on the house here on Wed evening and stepped down and twisted his foot. So he wasn’t really able to walk the rest of Wed and just a little on Thurs. It seems better now but it’s really black and blue.
Our container arrives on Friday next week. Sven a meeting with customs in the morning, then we are having our container driven to this warehouse where they will put it on the ground. We can then drive the car out and unpack everything in the container into these smaller wooden containers that we can store our stuff in, in that warehouse until we get an apartment. It’s pretty cheap and easy to do it that way. Plus we can do it all inside so we don’t have to worry about rain or anything. I think Sven is just excited about getting his bikes out ... Oh and we both want to grab more jackets and sweaters, it’s been pretty darn cold and wet here so far.
School has been great. Within this module, called International Business Environment Analysis I’ve had two different course so far, one on Trade and Globalization and the other on Global Shift. It’s all very very interesting and I’m really enjoying the classes. I have three weeks until my first exam and I have a lot of reading to do, but my books haven’t arrived yet ... bit annoying but they should be here Mon.
I’m ready a book right now that was suggested by a professor who gave us a lecture during Freshman week about cultural differences. It’s actually pretty good, although a bit hard to read because of the translation. It’s called ‘The Long Ships’ by Frans Bengtsson. It’s about the vikings and has a lot of Scandinavian history in it. If you’re looking for something to read this might be a good one.
